I’ve struggled in the past to find stories with authentic characters, stories with people I could be, or even have been, friends with. So I wrote some. I usually have several works in progress. Some might be in editing, some in draft form.

My wife and I raised three kids on a farm in South Carolina, which is the setting of my latest novel, You Can’t Outrun Your Roots. I write a character driven contemporary romance series called the Ladies of Diamond Lake, the fourth will be published soon. I’ve been told contemporary is relative since this starts in the 80’s. I have what I consider an actual historical romance set in the American Civil War, and a drama that deals with mental health that draws a strong emotional response from readers, but I promise a happy ending.
